Eye On Mixx watchdog page removed from Tripod

Wednesday, September 30, 1998 in News & Info, Anime News. Leave a comment

Eye On Mixx, the web page that has gathered information on growing customer dissatisfaction with Mixx Entertainment and their publication Mixxzine, has been removed from the Tripod servers

In a public statement Saturday, Mixx C.E.O. Stuart Levy accused the anonymous group of masterminding several operations (including the hacking of the Mixx web site), but did not offer any support for this theory.

In an exclusive interview (to be seen on this page next week), Levy tells ANN that he was most offended at a logo used on the page that replaced one of the X's in "Mixx" with a swastika. He has consulted various Jewish organizations and asked Tripod to remove the site, as they have had prior run-ins with white supremacy groups.

Eye On Mixx representatives told ANN that the swastika was meant to compare Mr. Levy's tactics to those of a Nazi, and were not meant to be racial in meaning. The graphics were removed some time ago.

As of 1 AM 9/30, Tripod has not answered our e-mails regarding this manner. This story will be updated if we get a response from Tripod management.

In the mean time, Eye on Mixx can be reached at their new home at http://eyeonmixx.anime-manga.net.
